The Wisdom of the Body

This is from The 11 KARMIC SPACES, page 126.

The soul’s knowing often comes to us in a physical feeling.
How do you feel? I find myself asking that question more and more.
How do you feel in your body?
I am not asking about pleasure or pain. I am asking this question to develop your subtle awareness of how you fit into your physical self.

Maybe you yelled at your kids or maybe you did something to hurt someone, or maybe you just sat around the house in your pajamas all day. It could be anything, but you just don’t feel right.

It is not even that you did something wrong, but you did something not quite right for you or for someone else.
As my students would tell you, I am quite partial to cheesecake.

There is the pleasure of eating it, but then there is the heaviness that comes after. So when I ask, “How do you feel?” the question is meant to build your intuition – because to answer it, you have to notice on a deeper level than before.

People ask me for advice all the time, and I do not always like to give it. If they ask something such as, “Should I marry Frankie?” I might tell them to visualize life with him and see how they feel – body, mind and soul. “Should I change jobs?” How do you feel?

This is a habit that you can develop to activate your intuition, but it is most effective if you allow your body to provide a big part of the answer.

Your body just tends to be more honest than your mind, which is so easily confused by your ego.
Is there pain in your belly, tightness in your heart or tension in your throat?

Most of us have so many different kinds of blocks that it is not easy to sort them out.
But the answers can come to you if you let them.
Sit quietly, breathe, and put your question to the Universe. And wait.
This is a form of prayer, and answers come in their own time and in their own way.
We have only to listen for them; and as we develop awareness, the answers are clearer and clearer.

I look into your heart’s Soul and I see the ego trying to confuse you in everything you do.
Always visualize the thing you want to do or buy before you act it out.
I promise you can change your life by visualization.
I will help you.
I love you all so very much.
