Meditation to Conquer Indifference

This meditation helps conquer the karmic space of indifference. Indifference is born from the pain of being afraid of rejection. In this dark space lives the Mother of compassion  and compassion’s tears. Mother Tara took birth from the tears of the Buddha. The light of Mother Green Tara can lead you out of indifference with the breath of compassion.

Practice this breath with love and concentration for 10 minutes, two or three times a day if possible. Each time you practice this breath meditation, pay attention and examine how you feel. Feel the Mother’s tears, and know that you are entering into the exciting process of freedom.

  • Sit quietly, close your eyes.
  • Breathe in and out of your heart, allowing the breath to become deeper and deeper.
  • Breathe in and out deeply 10x.
  • Begin to feel a warmth touch your whole chest. This is the sacred fire of compassion.
  • Visualize the Mother Tara.
  • Breathe in, and feel her tears fall into the flames of your heart.
  • Breathe out, and listen intently to the sound of tears caressing the fire.
  • Listen well to the sizzling sound it makes in your heart.
  • Repeat this breath 5x.
  • Sit quietly, and feel compassion come to you gently and completely.
