The Miracle of By The River

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

Namaste,

It is amazing what has occurred since last year’s Laxmi Puja.
Be grateful for all you have received.

By the River is a miracle in itself.
In the buildings and rooms waiting for the occupants is a wonderful feeling of acceptance.
So many elders will be taken care of.
Remember, there are no throwaway people.
Our lives are filled with the joy of serving others and right here on our sacred Ashram.
The sick and the old search the edges of life for any sign of help.
Here at Kashi those who are in need of housing, food and all those things that seniors need to have will be given gladly.
This has been planned for more than thirty years.

We have a deep loyalty to those who are in need.
The magic of it all is emerging in the buildings that are filled with all the possibilities that the elderly thought they could never could have any more.
This is the magic of love and caring.
It is the universal joy of Mother Laxmi to bring happiness prosperity and health to everyone.
Here on Kashi the imagination has given away to truth.
People will find a place to lay their heads without fear.
Folks will have enough to eat.
And our children will learn so much from our seniors.

It is this time of the year that one can feel the closeness of the Mother.
Let Mother Laxmi’s Pujas be a reflection of all of our love and our lives.
All that is needed exists in the heart and mind of Mother Laxmi, and She is willing to give us all that we need.
Our dream for so many is coming true.
The secret pulse of goodness can be felt this very moment.
The Divine breath of the Mother can be felt as well.
Neem Karoli Baba has given us the Blue Print of serving others, and being faithful to our dreams of serving others is a dream coming true.
Dance with the Self, and serve from your heart.

I love you with all my heart.

Love,
Ma Jaya

Overcome Jealousy

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Namaste,

On this path of service, one should develop a spirit of non-judgment.
One then can learn to serve humanity with an open heart and a non-judging mind.

You develop a spirit of charity to overcome jealousy.
When you see a person more prosperous than you, feel delighted as if she or he were your own self.
By being joyous for others, wealth will soon find you.
When you hear of great achievements of others, do not allow a burning, jealous feeling to enter into your heart.
Become aware of the fact that you are able to do what others have done.
The possibilities of prosperity are so great.
Inner possibilities become easy to obtain.

Mother Laxmi’s day becomes a special day in your lives and sets the tone for the rest of the year.
So many miracles have happened over the years after Laxmi Puja.
It is a time of grace, prosperity and good health.

The time of Durga Puja is a profound celebration here on Kashi Ashram.
Many come from all over to be with the Mother at this time.
I welcome you all with open arms and an open heart.

I love you all so very much.

Love,
Ma Jaya

Mother Laxmi Meditation on Freedom

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Namaste,

Let us all give thanks for our lives this morning.
For all that we have and will have in the future of the now.
I bow to Mother Laxmi, She who has brought to heart and mind the ability for prosperity and turned it all into a reality.

On the spiritual path to Enlightenment, the most important technique to resolve problems is surrender to the Mother on the path, which is Mother Laxmi.
Her Divine Hand sustains you and leads you to the surrender of your heart and to the acceptance of your Soul.
The divine plan brings trust to your heart of hearts, the heart of the Mother.
Trust is developed gradually over many lifetimes, guided by gratitude and love.
There is no need to ever become afraid of any situation.
Again and again the divine plan continues to sustain you, even when you are in deep sleep and have no control over the body.
You are in the arms of Mother Laxmi.
How wonderful it is to have the heart’s purpose be no other than to help others, to help all humanity.

She is the Mother of the world.
She is the Goddess of wealth, beauty, and good fortune.
She is especially worshiped at Diwali.
She has four arms and sits on a lotus flower; Her hands drop gold coins that symbolize wealth.
She has elephants on each side of Her, symbolizing prosperity.
Her lower hands drop gold coins into the waiting hands of people all over the world.

She shows us all that everything has a purpose.
She is strong and is loved by all.
She is also said to ride the owl of wisdom.
There is a sense of reality all around Her, therefore around all of Her children.
Before Her, you are your internal self.
How beautiful to understand that you are not the body.
You rip out your smaller self, and know in the depths of your being that you are not your flesh.
You are not the wave; you are beyond the whole of the ocean and beyond even that.

Sit quietly and feel Her arms around you.
She is holding four lotuses, one in each hand.
The sweetness of the moment can be felt in meditation.
You breathe the sweetness in and out.
The very air around you and in you becomes sweet with anticipation.
You are in a dream, and the dream’s problems vanish.
The world does not call you or spite you or harass you.

As you sit, a fragrance emerges from the heart of the universe.
Buds bloom in the night as the moon shines forth.
All clouds disperse.
As the radiant sun disperses all dark clouds, your breath comes in deeper and deeper.
Streams of dreams of gold gush forth.

Sit, and feel the Mother’s breath surround you.
Say the words, “I am free.”
Then know you are free.
You are everything in this freedom, and this freedom is everything in you.

After doing this meditation, your life will begin to change for the better.
You will find that you are capable of so much more.
You will find that you are capable of helping yourself and others like never before.
It is so simple and so true.

I love you all,
Love,
Ma Jaya
