Questions for Baba

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Namaste,

I have known the silence and loudness of life.
I have known the sadness and happiness of life.
I have known the silence of the woods before the winds of spring begin.

And within the depths of my mind, I wonder: of what use are words?
Do they not hurt us?
Do they not pull us from the moment of love and bring us into
yesterday’s pain or tomorrow’s fear?

I ask my Baba, “Why do I write these words, trying to touch so many to
help heal their wounds and fix their hearts?”
He smiles and says as clear as day, “THIS IS YOUR PURPOSE, YOUR REASON FOR
FLESH, IS IT NOT?

I smile and say, “Of course, my Beloved.”

I remember asking the same question before.
Why do I forget the answer I ask of my Beloved Guruji?

He smiles again and says,” What if you remembered everything you have
ever said? Where will the fresh flowers or the new answers go?”

“Are not the answers always the same?” I ask.

“Each moment is different, through lifetime after lifetime. There is so
much to ask about, to live and to learn; and so your children grow, and the answers grow along
with the questions.
You are too full of wisdom for the heart to have the tongue to utter the
knowledge all at once.

“There is a great range of answers you have, Ma, always ready for the
great range of questions they will ask you as the centuries go on. Then it
all becomes very exciting and real as you teach them to teach.”

I bowed before my Guru Baba, and wondered how many more questions I will
have for my Beloved.

He turned and looked toward me and answered my unasked question- and I
smiled at us both.

I love you all.

Love,
Ma Jaya

Neem Karoli Baba’s Mahasamadhi

Namaste,

Saturday night’s darshan and celebration of Neem Karoli Baba’s life and death touched us all deeply as we sat together at the dhuni.
I knew my heart was practically beating outside my body, and everyone could see and feel the love flowing.
They came from all over the country and world.
We sat as one.
We were one.
Our Baba led your Ma all through the night.
I asked my Baba as we walked around the Ganga to the waiting arms of my chelas, “How can there be so much love in the universe?”
I walked toward them with a fresh step and an open heart.
The tears of happiness, spiritual pride, and joy began to flow.

My Baba’s Mahasamadhi was more of life then of death.
It was cow dust time, the crack between day and night.
It seems that the sun did shine in a special way over Kashi.
Whom would the flower turn to, if not to the sun waiting to shed its light upon it?
If the earth did not did not spin, to whom would the light return, time after time?

We love our Beloveds in all of our different ways.
They truly know of our love.
Simply put, I am so happy here with my students, watching those who are in need being taken care of by the young and the old, generation after generation.

It is our Baba who guides our minds against temptations of greed, anger, hatred, power, fame and judgment of others.
There is no measurement great enough to measure.
It is said that sight claims the things that one can see.
My Beloved says, “Not true.”
It is emotions of the heart, the true love of the Soul, that claims our Baba as our own and as the world’s.
Our year begins with such joy and bliss.
Feel it.
Taste it.
Become it.

I love you all.

Love,

My babies love me!

My babies love me!

Om namah shivaya!

Om namah shivaya!

Namaste,

To live in community is to live with so many different personalities and possibilities.
When the clouds are rumbling and the ocean is rough with high waves, people turn to one another for comfort and understanding.
Living in community brings comfort to the seeker’s heart.
My heart is always filled with the love of my chelas and my love for my Guruji, Neem Karoli Baba.
I give thanks for all He has given me, mine and the world.
Always my Guru says to me, “Keep up your spirit, and know that all will pass; only a teaching will remain.”
This teaching is made of love, spirit, and Shakti.

When the darkness is dense, the path is filled with thorns – and sometimes the way is lost.
Keeping up the spirit helps you to know that you are not alone and never will be.
You will find the path of spirit when the heart is filled with love.
For all difficulties and all failures, I say to all of you, “Keep up the spirit, and all will pass: only the teachings will remain.
At this moment sense the fragrance of the buds that bloom in the night as it emerges from the heart chakra.
As the moon shines forth, the clouds disperse.
The radiant sun reveals itself scattering darkness with light.

See your supreme Beloved with the eyes of your heart.
Your Beloved springs from the depths of your heart, fragrant and lustrous, shining with understanding of love.
Your Beloved dances, smiles, and laughs with deafening shouts of joy.
From the stony wombs of high mountains that you have already climbed is born a love so vast that you are engulfed within its folds.
Merge with the Ocean of Divinity and Truth.
Pretty words, no – these are words of the heart.
Here you can see and feel all the blossoms of your Beloved’s mystical gardens.

In the silent hours of the morning time, I send you pieces of my heart to enfold within your own.
You and I are one.
I remember when my Baba said these words to me.
I could not believe them.
Then when our Dada came from India and told your Ma that our Baba said the same words to him, my whole world opened; I knew it could be possible that my Baba and I could be one, and that you and I can be one.
We will merge and be strong, full, and never alone.

In the silent hours of the morning we can behold the sunshine of eternal life together – liberation from endless strife, you and I and our Beloved.
Each dew drop this early dawn represents the endless amount of love that extends from your Beloved to you.
Words from the poet of life – you are the poet of life.
Words from the poet of death – you are the poet of death.
Together we dance lifetime after lifetime.
The song is always the same, yet the song is always different, oh my Lord of infinite splendor, pure love, and consciousness.

I ask you to awaken.
To wake up to the moment.
To wake up to awareness.
I hold you so very tightly; feel my arms around you.
The Mother holding her child.

I love you all,
Love,
Ma Jaya
